VinFast will present its first electric bus models in Europe at Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels from 3–9 October.
The Vietnamese manufacturer will introduce two vehicles, the EB 8 and EB 12, as part of its expansion into international public transport markets.
Both models meet EU regulations, and the EB 12 has been fully homologated to meet UNECE and CE standards, with specifications adapted to European infrastructure and operating conditions.

The EB 8 and EB 12 will use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs supplied by firms including CATL and Gotion. Capacities of up to 422 kWh will provide a range of around 400 km under real-world conditions, while charging at up to 140 kW will allow full replenishment in two to three hours.
The buses will include driver-assist technologies such as blind spot detection, intelligent speed assistance, forward collision warning and drowsiness monitoring. Passenger facilities will include Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, infotainment systems and kneeling suspension for easier boarding.
VinFast intends to begin European operations in 2026 and is developing partnerships with local suppliers and transport specialists to support market entry.
In Vietnam, VinFast has operated electric buses for four years, supplying services in major cities as part of the country’s first electric bus network. The company reports an annual production capacity of 1,500–2,000 buses, with processes designed to meet CE compliance.
The move comes as Europe pursues emissions reduction targets, including a goal for 90 percent of new buses to be zero-emission by 2030, rising to 100 percent by 2035.
At Busworld, VinFast will outline its plans for contributing to these objectives through the deployment of its electric bus range in Europe.
Madam Le Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of VinFast, said:Europe shares VinFast’s vision of a green and sustainable future, and the launch of our VinFast electric bus models at Busworld is a strong statement of VinFast’s long-term commitment to the region.
Beyond individual electric cars, we are building a comprehensive green transformation ecosystem to make electrified transport more accessible than ever. With an increasingly diverse product range, we are confident we can contribute to creating a zero-emission transport system and a cleaner, greener life for Europeans.
