Wrightbus has announced that production has increased following a record-breaking year in 2024.
At a recent open event for industry suppliers at the manufacturer’s production plant, bosses revealed the company expects to produce an additional 200 buses a year over the next 24 months.

In total, the company is aiming to manufacture up to 1,200 vehicles in 2025, increasing to 1,400 in 2026, following the creation of up to 1,000 new supply chain jobs within the same two year time-frame.
Wrightbus CEO, Jean-Marc Gales, said:Our supply chain is vital to the success of Wrightbus.
We have a strong network of partners who match our desire for quality, reliability and innovation, with a firm focus on the needs of our customers and it was fantastic to see many of them together at the factory. “We have an exciting few years ahead of us but to achieve the growth we’re aiming for we need to ensure our partners understand what we’ll be asking of them in terms of capacity, efficiency, product development and technology advancements.
Wrightbus currently supports supply chain partners in 37 counties across the UK, as well as a slew of locations throughout Europe.
Gales concluded:We’ve invested into our growth significantly over the last 12 months, with more staff in Ballymena, new facilities for NewPower in Bicester, and a European service centre in Brühl to ensure we have operational capacity to exceed customer demand.
We will support 7,200 supply chain jobs by 2026. But to continue with our ambitious trajectory, we need to ensure our suppliers are building alongside us for growth and success now. We need to remain ahead of the curve.
The company recently introduced its new brand, Rightech, along with four new electric vehicle models: two 7.5-tonne trucks and two buses.
