Yutong Bus has introduced its latest front-engine coach, the D14 (ZK6139D).

The bus was launched at an event in Tanzania on March 15, and aims to provide stable transport throughout African roads and passenger transport operations.

The bus was unveiled at an event on March 15

The new bus comes equipped with LED front and rear headlights, an upgraded dashboard, extra storage and an air-suspended driver’s seat.

Each vehicle is capable of carrying up to 77 passengers, with luggage storage handled via a through-type layout in order to accommodate irregularly shaped cargo in a compartment with a maximum carry size of 15.5 cubic metres.

Yutong’s D14 is fitted with a Bluecore fuel-saving system, which can cut fuel consumption by anything between 8% and 10%, and is designed to feature anti-corrosion technology to resist high temperatures and ust.

With the vehicle’s introduction, Yutong is now the leading Chinese bus presence in Africa having sold almost 22,000 buses to 200 clients since its introduction into the country.

In order to facilitate maintenance for the new vehicles, the company has also established a series of spare part distribution centres throughout Tanzania and South Africa in order to fulfil part procurement without the need for extensive travel.
