Yutong has announced the delivery of 202 of its E12PRO battery electric buses to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The vehicles were delivered during a handover ceremony held at the Tashkent Bus Company’s Depot No. 2. Attendees included Ilkhom Makhkamov, Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Buranovich Umurzakov, Mayor of Tashkent City, and Wang Jiwei and Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, among stakeholders and the media.

A set of 202 E12PRO buses; the vehicles are equipped with air conditioning, USB charging ports and wheelchair-accessible designs. The units are set to enter operation this month (October 2025).

Li Haifeng, CEO of Yutong Central Asia, said:

We will continue to drive innovation and provide high-quality products and services to partner with Tashkent to accelerate the shift toward smart electric mobility.

In order to prepare for the rollout of the new vehicles; Yutong has trained 450 drivers and maintenance personnel from the Tashkent Bus Company.

The delivery solidifies Yutong’s position in Uzbekistan, with the company having supplied 534 Yutong electric buses and 267 charging units.
