Yutong has confirmed the delivery of 400 battery electric buses to Pakistan – the largest single order of new energy buses in the Pakistani market thus far.
A wide range of the company’s vehicles, including its E12PRO and E9 models, have now begun to progressively enter service across 19 cities in the Punjab Province.

The delivery of the vehicles aims to contribute to Pakistan’s target to transition to 30% electric vehicles nationwide by 2030.
In order to operate within the country’s natural climate; the vehicles have been tailored to meet local requirements. Each vehicle has been equipped with a Nitrogen Protection System for its traction batteries, which allows it to adapt to the country’s hot and arid summer months and reduce the risk of cell fire.
All E12 PRO models have been customised with a dual middle door design to enhance passenger flow efficiency during peak times, as well as reduce both boarding and alighting times. The bus also features a unique seating layout, with separate front and rear sections that aims to balance passenger capacity with local habits.
Yutong’s Pakistani operations utilise a direct service model with a 56-member team of both Chinese and local professionals on hand to address any potential issues. Support is handled by 8 service outlets across the country, as well as a mobile team.
The company has conducted more than 80 service training sessions within the country this year so far, covering over 1,000 participants and equipping them with both advanced driving and maintenance skills.
