ElDorado National California Inc. (ENC), a transit bus manufacturer based in Riverside, California, has announced it will resume production and customer deliveries in the coming weeks.
The move follows a temporary pause in operations in late 2024 during an ownership transition. Previously owned by REV Group, the company is now operating under Rivaz Inc., a firm focused on green energy transportation.
The restart comes after a period of restructuring aimed at strengthening ENC’s operational foundation. This has included updates to its product strategy, service and support approach, as well as manufacturing processes.
The company’s buses are built entirely at its Riverside facility and are available in a range of propulsion options, including battery-electric, diesel-electric hybrid, compressed natural gas (CNG), and clean diesel.

Dan Trujillo, who was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing in late 2024, is leading the company’s commercial efforts. Trujillo joined ENC in 2022 and brings more than 20 years of experience in public transit.
Trujillo said:I’m proud to be part of ENC at such a pivotal time – not just for the company, but for the industry. There’s real opportunity to strengthen domestic bus manufacturing and expand access to clean, reliable transportation. I’m excited to help lead this next chapter as ENC re-enters the market with a focus on quality, agency partnership, and scalable zero-emission adoption – alongside our proven clean diesel, CNG, and hybrid models.
ENC’s return to manufacturing coincides with ongoing challenges in the US bus production sector. Recent industry volatility has affected agency timelines and procurement processes, and there is increasing demand for reliable, domestically manufactured vehicles. ENC aims to help meet this demand by reintroducing its established bus models, all of which are Buy America and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliant.
Production and deliveries are expected to restart in June 2025. ENC will offer bus models in 30-, 32-, 35-, and 40-foot lengths, with a focus on providing propulsion flexibility and supporting agencies navigating a mix of zero-emission and low-emission fleet needs.
With the restart, ENC aims to play a renewed role in US transit manufacturing, offering agencies a broader set of options at a time of change in both vehicle technology and procurement priorities.
Jason Lee, President, ENC said:Dan brings the kind of grounded experience, industry credibility, and agency understanding needed to lead ENC into its boldest chapter yet. He understands what agencies expect from a manufacturing partner – especially in the context of quality, long-term support, and the transition to zero-emission fleets. Through his sales leadership and planning, we’re confident ENC will help meet a critical need for sustainable, domestically manufactured transit solutions that are driven by true partnerships with transit agencies.
