Lyst-Reisen is adding 16 new Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses to its fleet in Bavaria, Germany.
This latest acquisition consists of 11 solo vehicles and five articulated buses.
These vehicles were officially handed over on 9 August 2024 in Neu-Ulm. They will enter regular service in the Würzburg area from 1 September 2024.
The new buses are part of Lyst-Reisen’s broader fleet upgrade, for which the operator has acquired a total of 55 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses over the past three years.
The Citaro buses have been tailored for the commercial requirements of Lyst-Reisen. Each bus features a well-equipped driver’s workspace, complete with a protective high safety-glass pane.
The buses are also outfitted with a comprehensive safety package that includes systems such as Sideguard Assist 2, Traffic Sign Assist, Attention Assist (AtAs), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM).
Additional safety measures include entry and ambient lighting at the first door, as well as CCTV coverage at critical points like the payment area and the passenger compartment.
For passenger comfort and connectivity, the buses are equipped with an air-conditioning system that can be separately controlled for the driver’s area and the passenger compartment.
The buses also feature wood-effect PVC flooring, an 18.5-inch TFT monitor passenger information system and free Wi-Fi.
