The “Mobility Solutions” innovation prize sponsored by HÜBNER was awarded by HÜBNER Managing Director Helge Förster (2nd from left) to COMPREDICT GmbH and to Convercycle Bikes.
HÜBNER General Manager, Helge Förster, said:

“As a company in the mobility sector we want to promote new ideas with this innovation prize for a market that is highly exciting and - by definition - always in motion – with more and more people and more and more goods being transported.”

The first place award of €7,000 went to Compredict from Darmstadt. The start-up team has developed a completely software-based solution to calculate the failure probability for automobile components as well as their remaining service life. The software gathers automobile driving data in real time.

Förster, explained:

“Complete vehicle fleets can be monitored on this basis and a continuous improvement process can be put into place, it's a concept that we found very convincing.”

The Convercycle company from Frankfurt was awarded €3,000 for its practical mobility innovation for bicycle transport. A Convercycle functions not only as a normal bicycle but also as a cargo bike. With a simple conversion step the bicycle can be made ready to transport up to 60 kilograms of cargo.

Award Winners at the Promotion Nordhessen Competition

A total of 42 business plans were submitted for this year’s “promotion Nordhessen” competition. Seven of these received awards. In addition to the prize sponsored by HÜBNER, there were awards in the categories “Innovative Start-up” and “Livelihood Start-up”.
