InnoTrans 2026 will bring together 414 exhibitors in its Public Transport segment, with artificial intelligence, robotics and connected mobility among the technologies expected to feature prominently at the Berlin event.
The Public Transport segment will cover 18,465 square metres of gross exhibition space from 22–25 September. According to organiser Messe Berlin, 62% of exhibitors in the segment are based outside Germany, with participants including companies from Lithuania, South Africa and Hong Kong.
Digital services will form a significant part of the exhibition, alongside buses and other public transport technologies. Exhibitors will present applications covering digital ticketing, traffic planning, accessibility, vehicle automation and connected transport systems.
INIT Innovation in Traffic Systems will present an AI-based operating system for public transport, while IVU Traffic Technologies will showcase applications using AI for traffic planning. Scheidt & Bachmann will exhibit solutions for connected public transport, with digital ticketing provider FAIRTIQ also participating.
Vehicles will also be displayed in the Sommergarten, where Škoda Transportation and DB Regio will present their latest offerings.
Mobility+
The Mobility+ section will bring together 25 companies working on digital mobility services and new approaches to public transport. Fourteen of the exhibitors will be participating at InnoTrans for the first time.
Among them, MOIA will present its work on autonomous and on-demand public transport. RailEvo will showcase autonomous, on-demand rail taxis designed to provide more flexible rail services, while GoodMaps will demonstrate AI-supported navigation technology aimed in particular at improving accessibility.
The Mobility+ Corner will host 21 presentations covering digitalisation, new mobility services and the integration of different modes of transport.
In addition, the AI Mobility Lab will feature 47 exhibitors working across artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity and robotics. Twenty-eight companies in the area will be exhibiting at InnoTrans for the first time.
Participants include SNCF Réseau, Boston Consulting Group, FORTINET and IAV. Scout Robotics will demonstrate autonomous inspection and robotic applications for rail operations, while Semvox will present AI-based assistance systems and OTIV will showcase technology for autonomous rail vehicles and automated train operations.
For the first time, InnoTrans will also offer two guided tours focused on robotics. The number of tours dedicated to artificial intelligence will increase to two.
The organisers say the expanded focus on AI and robotics is intended to give visitors practical examples of how these technologies could be applied to the planning, operation and maintenance of public transport networks.
