The first Irizar i3 Electric Integral intercity coach has been delivered to the Polish city of Bełchatów, marking the introduction of the model into public service.

The bus is a 12.75-metre electric intercity vehicle with seating for 45 passengers and space for up to 20 standing passengers, alongside a designated area for passengers with reduced mobility.

It is equipped with a high-definition destination display system, tinted windows, and a 360-degree camera system intended to support manoeuvring and safety during operation.

The bus will begin service in Bełchatów and across the Łódź region in early June. Local transport plans include free connections between surrounding towns and the city centre as part of efforts to improve regional accessibility and mobility.

The Irizar i3 Electric range is designed for intercity use and is available in both low-entry and standard-floor versions. The manufacturer states that the vehicle is intended to complete daily operating cycles on a single charge, depending on route conditions and usage.

The low-entry configuration is aimed at easier passenger access, while the standard-floor version prioritises luggage capacity for longer intercity journeys.

The vehicle handover was attended by local and regional officials, representatives of Wanicki, which is the official distributor of Irizar in Poland, as well as members of the manufacturer’s team.
