Karsan has signed a distributorship agreement with Damera to supply its electric buses in the US.

This follows the manufacturer’s entry into the North American market earlier this year through its launch in Canada. As a result, 30 e-JEST electric buses are now operating in Saint John, Oakville, and Happy Valley in Canada.

By now extending its agreement with Damera to the US market, Karsan anticipates that it will deliver 100 e-JEST units across North America by the end of 2023.

Karsan CEO Okan Baş said:

In line with our vision of being one step ahead in the future of mobility, it is time for the USA to join our journey of electrifying public transport in the world. Today, we have 30 e-JEST buses serving locals in Saint John, Oakville, and Happy Valley in Canada. With this agreement inked for the US market after Canada, our electric e-JEST vehicle park in North America will reach one hundred units by the end of the year with the new deliveries we will make.

With this agreement, Karsan has announced that North America is its second target market after Europe.
