Masats will be presenting several new developments with a focus on improving universal accessibility and passenger safety.
Masats unveils its new Passenger Information System (PIS-L), a cutting-edge solution designed to improve both safety and the user experience on public transport vehicles. Integrated into the sliding doors, the PIS-L system uses a red and green lighting code to inform passengers about the door’s status, ensuring safe and efficient access by clearly indicating when it is safe to board.
The PIS-L system is also available as an optional feature also on Masats’ RT1 telescopic ramps and RE2 electric ramps. In these applications, the system not only enhances safety during entry and exit but also offers more visible side signage, creating a more inclusive and universally accessible experience for all passengers.
The PIS-L system consists of a light strip that changes color based on the door or ramp’s status: solid green when it is safe to board, blinking green during the opening process, and blinking red when the door is closing. The door and ramp lighting work in tandem to provide clear visual cues about when it is safe to access the vehicle. The fact that both the door and the ramp are manufactured by Masats offers greater coordination possibilities.
For urban vehicles, Masats will be presenting the 028d sliding door with the built-in PIS-L system, and the all-new wider RT1b telescopic ramp, which has now got a wider platform to provide the best accessibility on the market. Along with the immense length, this greater width offers an even better user experience. The lighted passenger information system can also be added as an option.
Masats will present at Eurobus, for the first time, the new 029g2 Electric Inswinging door. A door that meets the needs of weight reduction and greater width of passage in the door area. It will be shown at Eurobus together with the Masats manual ramp.
Firmly committed to sustainability and ongoing improvement in passenger information and safety, Masats continues to lead innovation in the public transport sector by offering solutions that not only meet the highest technology standards but also contribute to a safer and more sustainable future.
