Masats will be presenting several new developments at FIAA, such as an all-new wider ramp and a passenger information system.

It will be featuring its new Passenger Information System (PIS-L), an advanced solution designed to enhance safety and the user experience on public transport vehicles. Built into the sliding doors, the PIS-L uses a red and green coded lighting system to communicate door status to passengers. This system guarantees efficient access to the vehicle by clearly indicating when it is safe to enter.

Plus, the PIS-L system is available as an option on Masats RT1 telescopic ramps and RE2 electric ramps. On these ramps, the system not only enhances safety when entering and leaving vehicles, but also provides more visible lateral signage to create more universal and more inclusive access.

The PIS-L system is comprised of a strip of lights that changes colour based on the door or ramp status: fixed green when it’s safe to enter, blinking green while being opened, and blinking red when the closing process begins. The door and ramp lighting operate in a coordinated manner for a complete understanding of when it’s safe to access a vehicle.

A preliminary version of the PIS-L was presented at UITP in Barcelona with the system optimized afterwards for doors. A version was also developed for Masats ramps.

For urban vehicles, Masats will be presenting the 028d sliding door with the built-in PIS-L system, and the all-new wider RT1b telescopic ramp, which has now got a wider platform to provide the best accessibility on the market. Along with the immense length, this greater width offers an even better user experience. The lighted passenger information system can also be added as an option.

At FIAA, Masats will also be showing its SWYNCRO door for coaches as the most advanced door solution for road transport vehicles and, thus, reinforcing its position as the sector’s leader in technology.

What’s more, it will have its KV5 lift for coaches on display. This compact, highly reliable hydraulic equipment was designed for use with dedicated doors.

Firmly committed to sustainability and ongoing improvement in passenger information and safety, Masats continues to lead innovation in the public transport sector by offering solutions that not only meet the highest technology standards but also contribute to a safer and more sustainable future.
