Prima Industries designs and manufactures a wide variety of interior accessories for buses and coaches, but the pushbuttons certainly represent one of its core categories, where the Italian quality can be fully perceived.
As a result of its history and worldwide distribution network, Prima Industries pushbuttons range is one of the widest you can find in the industry in terms of design, colors, sizes and icons.
Among the Company’s goals is to simplify the activities for each bus manufacturer who, by using a single supplier of accessories, can respond to the demands of many clients, Countries, and regulations.
A concrete example in this regard is the range of pushbuttons P105E and 167E, which today welcomes two new models fully compliant with EU Regulation 107, Rev. 8.
These iconic pushbuttons are now available in two updated versions:
- The “standard” version only provides the backlighted button, which turns from green to red when pushed
- The “full” version also includes a buzzer and a vibration
By keeping the classic style of its P105 and P167, Prima now offers a useful support to hearing and visually impaired-passengers, providing a safer ride for all. Prima Industries has decided to include these new functionalities in existing lay-outs, to offer clients the chance to update the existing pushbuttons without changing the interior design and the fixing points. So, this is an interesting option also for those making Bus retrofits.
This product required Prima Industries to develop a new electronic board which is assembled and tested one by one in the production plant of Correggio, in the heart of the Italian “motor valley”.
The “classic” versions will of course remain available in their huge variety of colors. The latest additions to the family are the white P105 and P167 pushbuttons, which perfectly match the total white P318 catching handle.
