PEI Mobility is proud to have contributed to the construction of the new range of Castrosua’s NELEC articulated e-buses in partnership with BYD.
Especially we supplied complete, inside-customised bellows to meet customer’s requirements. The hose guiding system for electric feeding is suitable for housing high-voltage cables and is hidden from outside thanks to the in bellow built-in extension, giving a clean aspect and an innovative design.
Our hose guiding system is patented about two features: the pulley helps bus movements giving high reliability and avoiding tensions on electric cables, then the leaf spring supporting the cables: this is composed of a multiple leaf (not a single piece as usual on the market) designed for easy and effective maintenance, as every section may be replaced without acting on the entire mechanism.
Made with the most advanced materials, our bellows feature patented systems that ensure optimal fastening to the carriage body, guaranteeing ultra-smooth movement, greater reliability and increased on-board comfort.
Flexibility and efficiency are also guaranteed by extensive engineering expertise, IATF automotive certification, stringent tests and calculation procedures, together with constant research and development. For this specific project, PEI Mobility supplied interior bellows characterised by an exclusive ergonomic design to ensure better passenger comfort. Furthermore the internal bellows fixing to chassis is a patented system allowing fast assembly and disassembly and giving rigidity to the whole structure.
This new range of articulated e-buses by Castrosua and BYD represents a new sustainable solution for public transport and PEI Mobility is proud to be part of this important project!
