Pier UK, a leading vacuum excavation service provider has partnered with workshop equipment experts Totalkare for the provision of vehicle lifting and testing equipment.

Based in Merseyside, Pier UK has been offering a range of services including utility detection, excavation, and site clearance, utilising its advanced fleet of vacuum excavators for more than 15 years.

To maintain its high standards of safety and efficiency, Pier UK sought to enhance its in-house fleet maintenance capabilities, turning to Totalkare for the supply of a mobile brake tester, mobile column lifts and a heavy-duty wheel alignment system.

The TK90 mobile brake tester from Totalkare provides accurate and reliable brake testing for a variety of vehicles. Its mobility allows Pier UK to make optimal use of its existing space to perform brake tests on-site, indoors or outside, enhancing efficiency and reducing downtime. With an axle load capacity of up to 16,000kg the TK90 is DVSA approved and can support one-person testing from the driver seat thanks to the tablet supplied.

Totalkare’s T8DC cable-free mobile column lifts offer unparalleled flexibility and ease of use. Each single column lift has a safe working load of 7,500kg per column and can be used in configurations of four, six or eight. Having invested in two sets of four columns, Pier UK can combine them as a set of eight to offer total lifting capacity of 60,000kg, making them ideal for their heavy-duty vehicles. The cable-free design improves safety and reduces trip hazards in the workshop, while the synchronised lifting system ensures precise control from any column.

The heavy-duty wheel alignment system from Totalkare allows Pier UK to perform accurate wheel alignments on its fleet, enhancing vehicle performance, saving fuel and reducing tyre wear. This system is designed to handle the specific requirements of heavy-duty vehicles and includes vehicle turn plates to position wheels without damage.

To ensure that its new equipment remains in top condition, Pier UK also invested in a two-year service package from Totalkare. This package includes regular maintenance and servicing, ensuring that the equipment meets safety regulation and operates at peak efficiency, reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.

Brian Young, National Account Manager for Totalkare, said:

We are delighted to support Pier UK with our commercial vehicle workshop equipment and comprehensive service package. Our equipment is designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of their fleet maintenance operations, helping them to maintain their high standards of service.

A spokesperson from Pier UK said:

Investing in Totalkare’s solutions has significantly improved our maintenance capabilities. With the equipment offering mobile capabilities, we can make the most of our existing space, and the mobile brake tester, mobile column lifts and wheel alignment system have already made a noticeable difference in our operations. The two-year service package gives us peace of mind, knowing that our equipment will be well-maintained and reliable.
