PSI Transcom GmbH will participate in the UITP Global Public Transport Summit in Hamburg from June 15 to 18, 2025 – the world’s leading trade fair for sustainable urban mobility.
Under the motto “Pioneering Impulses for Public Transport,” the Berlin-based software company will present systems for digitally connected and efficient public transport at booth A 3542.
Holistic Management of Rail Operations
A central highlight of the exhibition will be the integrated Train Management System PSItraffic/TMS. This system digitally maps all processes of rail operations – from network modeling and scheduling to the simulation of complex operational scenarios.
Real-Time Passenger Flow Management with DB Lightgate
In collaboration with S-Bahn Hamburg, PSI Transcom will showcase the DB Lightgate solution. This system captures real-time data on passenger distribution in individual train cars and visualizes it clearly and color-coded on platform displays.
Passengers can see, even before the train arrives, which cars have available seats. This reduces dwell times and improves punctuality. The data is further processed using AI in dispatching and serves as a basis for better timetable planning in the future.
Intelligent Automation of Depot Processes
PSI Transcom will also present its Depot Management System, which enables transport operators to intelligently schedule their bus fleets. The innovation focuses on fully automating depot operations, allowing vehicles to move autonomously within the depot. The goal is to relieve drivers of depot-related tasks so they can focus on passenger services.
Experience Digital Solutions in Live Operations
Torsten Vogel, Managing Director of PSI Transcom GmbH said:The UITP Summit brings together global innovations and strategies for urban mobility in one place. We are excited to showcase our products, which already provide concrete answers to tomorrow’s challenges. Digital systems like PSItraffic enable transport companies to manage operations and infrastructure holistically – significantly improving efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in public transport.
Visitors to the PSI Transcom booth will experience the systems live through practical use cases – from passenger flow management and energy efficiency to the automation of complex operational processes.
