Mobility Move 2025, an international trade fair focused on electric buses, will take place in Berlin from 1 to 3 April 2025. Among the manufacturers participating, Solaris Bus & Coach will present its Urbino 12 electric bus, featuring a modular drive system.

This model recently received the Sustainable Bus Award 2025 in the “Urban” category, which acknowledges innovation and sustainability in public transport vehicles.

The Urbino 12 electric’s modular drive system enables the redistribution of components to the roof, removing the conventional engine tower. This design allows for more passenger space and a higher capacity. The bus also includes Solaris High Energy batteries, designed for efficiency and high energy density.

The vehicle supports multiple charging methods to suit different public transport requirements. Standard charging is performed via a plug positioned above the first axle on the right side, with options for placement on the left, front, or rear. Additionally, customers can select either traditional or inverted pantograph systems, also mounted above the first axle. The version presented at the trade fair will feature standard plug-in charging.

Safety features in the Urbino 12 electric meet GSR2 standards and cybersecurity regulations. Systems include driver distraction and fatigue monitoring, pedestrian and cyclist detection warnings, and alerts for cyclists in blind spots. Other features include an intelligent speed assistant, a driver drowsiness detection system, and electronic mirrors designed to improve visibility and reduce blind spots.

Alongside vehicle exhibitions, Mobility Move 2025 will host a series of expert-led discussions on industry developments and innovations in public transport. Solaris invites attendees to visit stand No. 18 in the exhibition hall of the Estrel Hotel during the event.
