Design and Development of Intelligent Software Solutions for On-Demand Transport
Since 2014, Padam Mobility has been providing digital on-demand public transport solutions to better connect peri-urban and rural areas to the existing infrastructure. The software solutions can also be adapted to paratransit, i.e. transport for people with disabilities.
Dynamic demand-responsive transport enables the rationalisation of public transport by adapting supply more closely to demand. Vehicles no longer follow routes and timetables, but users’ bookings. Efficient algorithms recalculate journeys in real-time to optimise them.
To do this, Padam Mobility offers a software suite of smart and flexible solutions that improve the impact of mobility policies in sparsely populated areas for all types of users.
This software suite is based on powerful algorithms and artificial intelligence. It includes:
- Booking interfaces (mobile app, website) for users and call centres
- A navigation interface (mobile app and tablet) for drivers
- A management interface for operators and public transport authorities
- A simulation tool for designing and setting up mobility services
In May 2021, Siemens Mobility, a global leader in public transport, acquired the company to support its growth and complement its intermodal transport offering.
Leader in Europe, Padam Mobility is a trusted partner of public transit authorities, including Île-de-France Mobilités and Sytral in France, Lincolnshire County Council in England, as well as transport operators, such as Deutsche Bahn, Keolis, Transdev or Busitalia.
Our on-demand services transported over one million users in 2021, who rated their trip with an average of 4.8/5. According to surveys, 33% of these users had previously used a private car, and a further 19% had no means of moving around autonomously at all. This feedback shows us the tremendous impact demand-responsive transport can have on the lives of individuals, communities and the environment.
