Transport for London (TfL) is calling for feedback on a proposed Superloop bus route providing services between Rainham, Ferry Lane and Grants Hill via Romford.
The newly proposed route, which would be named SL12, has been suggested to improve access to districts in the south of Havering, as well as offer an interchange with the existing SL2 route.

The introduction of the new route would build on the introduction of the city’s Supleroop, a 138km network of express bus services across outer London, with nine routes currently in operation and a tenth, the SL3 route between Canary Wharf and Grove Park, set to launch alongside the opening of the Silvertown Tunnel on 7 April.
Geoff Hobbs, TfL's Director of Public Transport Service Planning, said:Following on from the success of the Superloop express bus services in outer London, we know there is a much-needed demand for these routes. Buses are still the most affordable and green way to travel around the capital, and by offering new public transport options will better connect the local community to the rest of London.
We are committed to working closely with the relevant boroughs to ensure these express bus routes work for all and encourage everyone to respond to the consultation.
Consultation for the SL12 route will remain open between 28 March 2025 and 23 May 2025, and feedback can be given here.
Londoners are also encouraged to provide feedback on proposals for a new express bus route between Abbey Wood and North Grenwich via Thamesmead and Woolwhich, the SL11 route, which if approved is hoped to support regeneration plans in the Thamesmead area, as well as intentions to extend the DLR. TfL will continue to accept feedback on the SL11 route until 13 April 2025.
TfL is set to publish a consultation report on the recently proposed Bakerloop express service, which aims to connect stations and areas forming part of the Bakerloo Tube line extension, in the coming months.
