BYD has showcased both its BD12 and BD11A double-deck buses at Euro Bus Expo 2026 in Birmingham.
The vehicles are joined by the company’s newly-unveiled C12 DUO – its first coach for use on the UK market.

On display in Transport for London (TfL) & Low Height Provincial configurations respectively; the BD12 and BD11A buses both measure in at 10.9 metres.
The vehicles utilise 532 kWh BYD Blade Batteries, and both feature integrated HVAC climate control systems, modern “IBUS” digital informational screens, and configurations with USB/USB-C charging ports at seats.

Where each model differs, however, is in passenger configuration, as well as potential range. The BD12 is capable of carrying 18 seated passengers on the lower deck and 24 on the upper deck for a total potential range of up to either 340 miles (481 kWh) or 310 miles (457 kWh), whilst the BD11A can carry 19 seated passengers in the lower deck (along with an extra 2 in tip up seats) and 42 on the upper deck, and possesses a range of up to 350 miles (532 kWh) or 310 miles (457 kWh).
Elsewhere, both vehicles are equipped with a electro-hydraulic power steering system (EHPS), Bosch steering gear, EPB, ADAS and Electronic Control Air Suspension (ECAS) with full kneeling functionality.
