Daimler Buses has announced the beginning of construction on a brand-new service centre in Rome’s metropolitan area.

The facility in Finao Romano, which is roughly 40 kilometres north of Rome, will begin offering maintenance and service work for Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses in early 2027.

A groundbreaking ceremony took place on site mid-March, which was attended by a number of local political and business representatives.

The new location will replace Daimler’s existing service centre in Monterotondo, situated slightly further south.

Situated on a site approximately 11,500 m², including roughly 3,000 m² of covered workshop space; the facility will offer 25 bus parking spaces and four workstations for high-voltage vehicles.
