Bee Network night buses have now begun serving every borough of Greater Manchester in a bid to boost the city region’s night-time economy.
In total, five new 24-hour services went live last night (Thursday 3 September), and will provide additional ways to travel from Oldham, Stockport, Tameside, Salford and Trafford into Manchester city centre and back.
The new services also aim to provide more flexibility for the 625,400 people working in the night-time economy across Greater Manchester. The new routes now running around the clock between Thursday and Sunday include:
- 50 (Salford – Manchester)
- 216 (Tameside – Manchester)
- 263 (Trafford – Manchester)
- 192 (Stockport – Manchester)
- 83 (Oldham – Manchester)
Transport for Greater Manchester has estimated that the new routes will cover an additional 1,630 timetables kilometres per week in addition to the 2,596 extra kilometres a week already covered by existing night bus services.
The launch of the services marks the most significant change to the Bee Network since the completion of bus franchising in 2025, which saw the introduction of new bus routes and more frequent services across Greater Manchester.

Our night buses will provide a lifeline to some of the hundreds of thousands of people who are growing our night-time economy and working in essential public services. But they’ll also provide a boost to our businesses, with late-night routes connecting them to even more customers.
Whether people are heading home from a night at the theatre or the pub, or starting the early shift at a hospital, they can now get on board the night bus as a safe and affordable way to get to every borough.
Thus far, more than 209,000 journeys have been made on Bee Network night buses following the launch of the V1 in Wigan and 36 in Bolton in September 2024, which was followed by the 17 in Rochdale and 135 in Bury in September 2025.
