FlixBus has officially announced the appointment of Shamil Maindiratta as its new Managing Director for the UK market.
Shamil will join the company after over eight years at Amazon, where she managed their Retail, Advertising and Digital Payments products, and was most recently Head of Enterprise Sales for Amazon Pay across the EU and US.

FlixBus has stated that is is currently delivering its 2026 growth strategy as planned, which includes aims to grow its country-wide network by the same amount as it previously did in 2025. With its 5th anniversary approaching this April; the FlixBus UK network is planned to grow to over 100 destinations this spring, with newly served locations set to include Doncaster, Blackpool, Halifax, Huddersfield, Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich.

In addition to Shamil’s appointment; FlixBus has also promoted Operations Lead Hayley Russell to Global Head of Service Delivery, whilst Senior Operational Manager Peter Fielding has been named as the company’s new Operations Team Lead in the UK.
