FORTEC UK introduces the Litemax SPF2800-NNN-A11, a 28″ ultra-wide display combining 2,000-nit sunlight readability with 12V operation for passenger information and transportation applications.

Its high-brightness LED backlight delivers 2,000-nit sunlight readability while operating from a 12V supply, with specified power consumption of just 39.2W. This combination makes it particularly suited to transportation systems where high visibility needs to be balanced against available power.
For transportation OEMs and system integrators, the ultra-wide format is well suited to passenger information applications including onboard route and next-stop information, platform displays and other real-time information systems, particularly where installation height is restricted.
With a 1920 × 360 resolution and 16:3 aspect ratio, the display provides a long, narrow information area that lends itself particularly well to transportation applications. The active display area measures 698.4 × 130.95mm.
Wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, together with a 5000:1 contrast ratio, also help information remain visible when passengers are viewing the display from different positions.
Transportation displays need to provide more than good visibility. Long operating hours, changing temperatures and exposure to sunlight can all affect display performance over time.
The SPF2800-NNN-A11 incorporates Hi-Tni technology rated to 110°C to help prevent LCD blackening, alongside an LED backlight with a specified MTBF of 100,000 hours. With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, these characteristics support the demands of transportation applications requiring extended operating periods.
For projects requiring additional functionality, options include PCAP multi-touch, tempered glass and anti-reflective glass.
