At Euro Bus Expo, Karsan has launched the right-hand drive version of its e-JEST electric minibus for the UK market.

The vehicle has a BMW electric traction motor with a maximum power of 135 kW and a maximum torque of 290 Nm.
It travels at a top speed of 80 km/h and has a turning radius of 6,996 mm.
Karsan has already successfully deployed 700 e-JEST electric minibuses in countries in mainland Europe and North America, alongside its recent debut in Japan.
Its latest launch now brings the vehicle to the UK market, featuring a right-hand drive. This also marks the Turkish manufactuere’s debut in the UK market, with its exclusive distributor EVM.

The minibus features an 88 kWh Li-ion battery that provides a range of 210 km on a single charge.
Dimensionally, the bus is 5.85 m long, 2 m wide and 2.8 m tall. This makes it ideal for narrow streets and historic city centre infrastructure. Due to its size, the bus can also be driven by anyone with a standard license, thus helping operators tackle challenges associated with driver shortages.

For passengers, the vehicle has been designed with comfortable seating and a dedicated area for wheelchairs and prams. The model also features a wide door for easy boarding and alighting.
