Electric bus manufacturer, Karsan, has launched its first e-JEST minibus in Japan.

The unit has been delivered to Ina City, Nagano in central Japan.

This order follows Karsan’s launch of the new right-hand drive version of e-JEST in December. The launch took place in Tokyo and marked the debut of Karsan’s first right-hand drive vehicle.

The e-JEST is a 6-metre electric minibus that was initially introduced in Europe in late 2018. It has also since been launched in Canada and the US as the market’s first electric minibus.

With this delivery, Karsan has now become the first European e-bus brand in Japan.
