LA Metro has announced updated plans to implement bus priority lanes along Florence Avenue from the A Line (Blue) Station to West Boulevard, near the K Line’s Fairview Heights Station.

This initiative is expected to improve the speed, frequency and reliability of buses operating along the corridor.

LA Metro Bus Lanes
The new bus lanes would be implemented in both directions

LA Metro and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) are working together on implementing more priority measures to speed up transit across the city. The new lanes along Florence Avenue will join a series of bus lanes currently under construction in LA, including on La Brea Avenue and Alvarado Street.

Metro now plans to finalise the project design for the Florence Avenue bus lanes and work towards opening the priority measures this autumn.

The bus priority lanes will then operate from 7am to 9am and from 4pm to 7pm during weekday rush hours.
