FlixBus and Stanley Travel have announced an expansion of their partnership, with two new Yutong GT12 coaches joining the FlixBus fleet.
This expansion will take effect from 17 April 2025, ahead of the Easter holiday period. It will see an increase in service frequencies on existing FlixBus routes connecting Manchester, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, and Newcastle. These routes will now operate up to four departures per day in each direction, supporting growing passenger numbers and enhancing long-distance coach travel options in the North of England.

Stanley Travel, a family-run operator established in 1961, became part of the FlixBus UK network in 2023. The company has contributed to the network’s cross-country coverage during a key phase of its growth.
FlixBus UK is marking its fourth anniversary this week and plans to operate over 200 vehicles by the summer. The company continues to scale its operations and broaden national connectivity through operator partnerships.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director at FlixBus UK, said:Stanley Travel has been a fantastic operator since day one, frequently receiving excellent customer ratings and reviews. Our partnership has gone from strength to strength, and we are delighted to be growing our network with the Scott family, with whom we have built a great personal relationship.
This expansion is yet another example of how FlixBus is delivering on its promise of building the largest coach network in the UK. We are excited to see our collaboration with Stanley Travel continue to thrive, as we offer more services and greater connectivity to passengers across the North.
Andrew Scott, Director at Stanley Travel, added:FlixBus values very much align with our own, in terms of family culture, growth, and capitalising on opportunities.
It’s been a fantastic two years together, so growing our business once again with FlixBus was a natural choice for our long-term success.
