The 100% electric Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is a flagship example of sustainable mobility in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.

After winning the tender, Stertil-Koni supplied DAKAR MOBILITE with ST 1075 mobile column vehicle lifts, each with a lifting capacity of 7,500 kg. These mobile columns allow the team to work with maximum safety while maintaining high efficiency.

The BRT system will operate a fleet of 144 articulated electric buses, marking the beginning of a new era of zero-emission urban transport, reshaping the future of African cities. While CETUD – Conseil Exécutif des Transports Urbains Durables has overseen the development of the BRT infrastructure, it has entrusted Dakar Mobilité with the responsibility of acquiring and maintaining the fleet of electric buses, managing the associated systems, and operating the BRT for a period of 15 years.
