Volvo Bus has announced the delivery of a final batch of 72 Volvo BZL Electric buses to Arriva UK Bus’s Tottenham Depot.
The delivery marks the completion of a major phase of the operator’s nationwide fleet renewal programme, with the vehicles now set to enter service across North London as part of Arriva’s 340 million GBP investment in its UK fleet.
Additionally, Volvo currently has an active order to deliver a further 63 Volvo B8RLE MCV eVoRas to Arriva in Q4 2026, all of which will enter service in Bangor, Luton, Luton Airport and Teesside in Q4 2026.

Volvo’s BZL Electric platform is equipped with a 200kW electric driveline, with utilises a motor coupled to a two-speed automated gearbox and a conventional rear axle, facilitating simple maintenance.
Built with a chassis that, according to the company, is ‘90% recyclable’, the Volvo BZL utilises either roof-mounted Lithium Nickel Cobalt Aluminium Oxide (NCA) or Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, which aim to provide a total capacity of up to 500 kWh.
