Ebusco Holding N.V. has announced acknowledgement of an intention to cancel an order of 23 electric buses from ViP Verkehrsbetrieb Potsdam GmbH (ViP), part of the Stadtwerke Potsdam group.

Previously announced on 4 January 2024; the order is comprised of 10 Ebusco 3.0 12-meter buses and 13 Ebusco 3.0 18-meter buses.

Ebusco has stated that it ‘regrets’ the decision, and will review the matter before responding within the term previously communicated to ViP.

ViP sent an official cancellation letter on 23 July 2026, and Ebusco has since objected to the cancellation. The company will set out its substantive position by 14 August 2026, and has stated that it regrets ViP’s decision to make the decision public whilst both parties were, allegedly, still in dialogue over recent weeks on the delivery schedule and associated commercial terms.

Ebusco intends to reserve all rights, whilst ViP has indicated that it reserves its claims against Ebusco. The latter is now studying the matter as a whole, including the ‘potential financial impact of the termination and the claims’, and has declared it will address this in its results for the first half of 2026 – which are due for publication on Friday 14 August.
