Volvo Buses and Marcopolo are coming together to bring a new premium coach to the European market. The Volvo B13R – Marcopolo Paradiso G8 will be built with Volvo’s chassis and Marcopolo’s flagship body.

The new coach will initially run in southern Europe, with first orders already having been placed in France, Italy and Portugal.
The new coach will be unveiled at FIAA (Feria Internacional del Autobús y del Autocar), taking place in Madrid from 22 to 24 September.
Volvo Buses entered into a strategic partnership with Marcopolo in order to strengthen its position in the European coach market as well as expand its product range for long-distance and tourism operators.
Thomas Nylund, Head of Europe at Volvo Buses, said:This partnership with Marcopolo further strengthens our offer to customers in Southern Europe. Marcopolo is already a trusted partner in many markets around the world. Together, we can now offer a premium coach that combines Volvo's renowned chassis technology, fuel efficiency, and safety with Marcopolo's modern design, comfort, and coach-building expertise. This partnership gives us greater flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
The new coach will be available in 4×2 and 6×2 configurations. Volvo Buses says it has been designed to meet the needs of European operators, delivering fuel efficiency, passenger comfort, safety and competitive total cost of ownership. A further advantage for buyers of this new coach is Volvo Buses’ large-scale service and support network in the region.

Marcopolo’s Paradiso G8 body will be integrated with Volvo Buses’ Volvo B13R chassis, manufactured in Sweden.
With orders already having been placed in three countries, it is expected that deliveries to customers will begin in early 2027. In Italy and France Volvo Buses will take on the marketing and selling of the complete vehicle through its retail network. This also includes full technical and after-sales support.
In Spain and Portugal, Volvo Buses and Marcopolo will share the commercial responsibility.
The goal is to expand into other European markets down the line.
For Marcopolo, this partnership with Volvo Buses is a return to the European market.
