Yutong presented five bus and coach models at the 2026 Australasia Bus & Coach Expo in Sydney, highlighting its range of vehicles for public transport across Australia.
The exhibition, held on 15–16 July, saw the Chinese manufacturer display the battery-electric U18 articulated bus alongside the E12, E7S, C12 and D7 models under the theme Think Eco, Move Green.
The U18 made its Australian exhibition debut during the event. The 18-metre battery-electric bus is equipped with a 528kWh battery and is designed for high-capacity urban routes. The vehicle achieves an energy consumption of 0.9kWh per kilometre under SORT2 testing conditions, which assesses vehicle efficiency.
Alongside the U18, the company exhibited the E12, intended for urban and intercity services, and the smaller E7S, designed for community transport and feeder routes. The diesel-powered C12 and D7 coaches were also displayed, targeting applications including school transport, tourism and private passenger services.
The showcase reflects Yutong’s continued expansion in the Australian market, where the manufacturer has now delivered more than 2,000 vehicles.
The company’s 2,000th Australian vehicle, a C12 coach, has entered service transporting employees within the country’s mining and resources sector. The vehicle is being used on routes that involve long distances and challenging operating conditions, including high temperatures and dusty environments.
In addition to supplying vehicles, Yutong said it continues to provide operator training, after-sales support and spare parts services to customers across Australia as part of its wider lifecycle support offering.
The Australasia Bus & Coach Expo is one of the region’s principal exhibitions for the bus and coach sector, bringing together vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and operators from across Australia and Oceania.
