Wrightbus is set to officially launch its operations in Australia during the BusNSW Bus & Coach Expo in Sydney next week.

This will mark the manufacturer’s entry into the country’s bus market. During the event, Wrightbus will outline its plans for the Australian market, including the supply of battery-electric and hydrogen-powered buses, collaboration with local industry partners and the provision of long-term aftersales support for operators.

The launch event will take place at 10 am and will be attended by Anna Shotbolt, British Consul General and Deputy Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific (Australia and New Zealand).

The launch reflects Wrightbus’ commitment to establishing a long-term presence in Australia, building on its 80-year history in bus manufacturing.

Representatives attending the expo will include Wrightbus Managing Director Christian Reynolds, alongside Daniel Scarpino de Castro and Julian Gurney, who form part of the company’s Australian team.

The BusNSW Bus & Coach Expo provides an opportunity for Wr

ightbus to engage with operators, industry stakeholders and businesses involved in Australia’s public transport sector as it expands its international presence.

The manufacturer is based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland and supplies buses to the UK, Ireland and Germany. The company also operates a factory in Malaysia and, earlier this year, was contracted to supply buses in Hong Kong.
