Yutong has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, which assesses the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon emissions over the past year.
With a long standing history of green development; Yutong aims to uphold its philosophy of placing equal emphasis on energy conservation, low-carbon, green development and sustainable operation.

Across 2025, Yutong aimed to advance green transformation and implement energy conservation and emission reduction initiatives. To this end; the company saved 1,130 MWh of electricity; 730,000 m³ of natural gas; conserved 1,110 tonnes of energy; reduced carbon emissions by 7,920 tonnes; and managed to reach a water recycling rate of 98.32%.
Integrating green and low-carbon development into both its production and operations, the company deployed more than 210,000 new energy bus products in 2025, and certified 17 products with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD); verified 8 electric bus models under ISO 14021:2016 (with recyclability and recoverability exceeding 95%); demonstrated and promoted 96 hydrogen fuel cell buses; established a new Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Engineering Technology Research Center; and was awarded two green mobility awards: ‘National Green Factory’ and ‘National Green Supply Chain Enterprise’.
With a focus on leading product upgrades through technological innovation; Yutong acquired 2,743 patents and software copyrights; over 2,000 valid trademarks (with layout covering 182 countries); and dedicated around 5% of its annual operating revenue for R&D.
In terms of employee growth and engagement; Yutong has established 37 grass-roots branches; collected 10,662 employee-related issues (with a 98.95% response and resolution rate); built an internal instructor team and course development with framework 900+ internal instructors (including 189 core instructors) and invested nearly 13 million RMB into training and development, with 2,600+ employee training sessions organised.
Guided by service-oriented goals; Yutong now possesses more than 2,000 global service stations and over 2,100 employees ready to be stationed at frontlines of global markets. It also now touts a rapid response time of 30 minutes for customer service interactions.
Forming an integrated model that aims to combine industry, philanthropy and ecosystem; Yutong actively carries out charitable and relief activities, as well as a number of road safety campaigns. Across 2025; the company planted 83,700 trees under its Net Zero Forest programme, enrolled more than 140,000 participants into the Road Safety Public Welfare campaign, and donated more than 300 million RMB to society in both funds and materials.
Finally, Yutong has also celebrated the wealth of international awards it received over the year, including a number of accolades from Busworld, EcoVadis, Brand Finance and more.
