Alexander Dennis has announced the delivery of 13 Enviro100EV single-deck buses to Go-Ahead London.
The vehicles, which are the first to be launched from Go-Ahead London’s new Sydenham Garage, will soon enter service on Transport for London’s (TfL) route 322, which runs on a 15-minute frequency between Crystal Palace and Clapham Common.

Go-Ahead London currently operates a total of 60 Enviro100EV midibuses – dubbed the ‘big small bus’ by the manufacturer. Measuring 8.5 metres in length; they aim to provide bespoke solutions for operation through congested or narrow streets, with the TfL specification buses capable of carrying up to 21 seated passengers and 24 standees.
Each bus utilises a Driventic VEDS driveline, which combines with large 354kWh batteries to offer extensive range on a single charge, ideal for intensive use on major city bus networks.
Originally equipped batteries are capable of completing two consecutive seven-year contracts without replacement as part of Alexander Dennis’ 15-year battery warranty.
Andy Edwards, Managing Director of Go-Ahead London, said:Route 322 serves some of the busiest and most densely connected parts of south London, and these 13 Enviro100EV buses will deliver a genuinely better experience for the thousands of customers who rely on it every day.
Having recently hit the milestone of 1,000 zero-emission buses in London, we’re looking forward to working in close partnership with Alexander Dennis to accelerate that transition further.
Alongside the Mayor and Transport for London, we are committed to converting the capital’s bus fleet to zero emission, as part of our wider Group goal of a fully zero-emission fleet across Go-Ahead by 2035.
