The Ministry of North Macedonia has announced that Electrobus Europe Ltd (a member of the Ikarus Group) has been chosen to provide 150 electric-drive urban solo buses for use across the region.
As part of the tender, Electrobus, which is also a member of the Ikarus Group, will also provide 75 associated charging stations.

The tender will serve to be Ikarus’s most successful electric bus procurement by unit volume to date, representing a strategically significant regional reference.
Of the 150 vehicles, 100 will be used within Skopje, whilst the remaining 50 will enter service in other cities across North Macedonia.
János Hunor Kelemen, Sales Director of the Ikarus Group, said:The opportunity for this outstanding new order by volume demonstrates a strong validation of Ikarus's technical preparedness and international competitiveness, and is a key milestone in the successful implementation of our company's market strategy, through which we reinforce our position in the electric vehicle market of Central and South-Eastern Europe.
We are particularly proud that our offer is built on the collaboration of multiple nations and cultures, and that at key points of implementation we can rely on the expertise of local North Macedonian companies.
