St. Albert Transit in Alberta, Canada, has ordered 13 40-foot diesel buses from Canadian manufacturer Nova Bus as part of a programme to renew and expand its fleet.
The order will add to the 19 Nova Bus vehicles already delivered to St. Albert Transit, bringing the total number supplied since 2025 to 32.

The fleet investment is intended to support public transport services in St. Albert and the wider Edmonton metropolitan area as ridership grows.
Nova Bus, a member of the Volvo Group, said the new buses are designed to provide durability and reliability for transit operations in Canada’s climate.
Paul Le Houillier, President of Nova Bus said:We thank St. Albert Transit for its continued trust in Nova Bus. This new contract reflects the strength of our partnership and our commitment to delivering reliable vehicles that meet the operational needs of public transit systems across Canada.
The manufacturer said the order forms part of St. Albert Transit’s wider fleet modernisation programme. The agency will continue operating diesel buses as it renews and expands its fleet.
Nova Bus has more than 30 years of experience supplying buses to Canadian transit agencies. Its vehicles are designed and manufactured in Canada, with its product portfolio intended to support operators using different propulsion technologies and progressing at different rates with their energy transition.
The latest order follows the delivery of the first 19 Nova Bus vehicles to St. Albert Transit since 2025.
