Chalkwell Coach Hire has strengthened its fleet maintenance capabilities with the purchase of four G9DC wireless galvanised washbay mobile column lifts from Totalkare, providing its workshop team with a flexible lifting solution designed specifically for demanding washbay environments.
The Kent-based family business has been operating since 1931 and today provides coach hire, school transport, local bus services and day trips, alongside specialist engineering services for vans and larger commercial vehicles. With a busy fleet supporting customers across Kent and beyond, maintaining vehicle safety, reliability and presentation remains a key priority for the operator.
Chalkwell selected Totalkare’s G9DC mobile column lifts to provide its engineering team with greater flexibility when carrying out maintenance and inspection work in wet or outdoor environments.
Designed specifically for washbay applications, each G9DC column has an 8,000kg lifting capacity and features hot-galvanised construction and sealed bearings to provide long-term protection against water ingress. Wireless communication between the four columns eliminates the need for connecting cables, while their mobile design allows the lifts to be repositioned around the facility as required.
The system also requires no permanent installation or ground preparation, giving Chalkwell a versatile lifting solution that can be used both indoors and outdoors.
