Škoda Group has received a contract to deliver 35 Škoda 33Tr trolleybuses to České Budějovice in the Czech Republic.
This order is valued at 28.5 million EUR, with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2026.
The new 18-metre articulated trolleybuses will be equipped with batteries, providing each vehicle with a range of at least 12 kilometres off the catenary.
In addition, they will feature modern camera systems to increase security, as well as updated information and check-in systems and air-conditioning for passenger comfort and convenience.
Slavoj Dolejš, director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Transport Company of the City of České Budějovice said:This contract is very important for us for the renewal of the vehicle fleet, at the same time it is also the largest investment in the history of the transport company, which will bring our passengers the most modern means of transport and thus improve the quality and attractiveness of public transport in our city.
The new vehicles will join 57 Škoda trolleybuses already in operation in the South Bohemian metropolis.
