DB Extends Agreement to Procure Ebusco Electric Buses

Deutsche Bahn (DB) has extended the existing framework agreement for Ebusco to remain its primary supplier for 12- and 18-metre electric buses until 2026.

The initial framework agreement was signed in April 2022 and went into effect from 2023 until 2024. Now, its optional extension covering 2025 and 2026 has been officially confirmed with the signing of a contract at Busworld.

Under the existing framework agreement, multiple orders have been placed for the supply of Ebusco 2.2 buses to be deployed across Germany.

Furthermore, DB and Ebusco are in final discussions for additional firm orders, which will bring the total to over 100 buses.

To date, DB has solely ordered Ebusco 2.2 buses. However, the contract also enables the order of Ebusco 3.0 buses.

Patrick Oosterveld, Sales Director at Ebusco said:

“It has been great to consistently work with Deutsche Bahn and build a partnership in which we can both rely on each other. We are very proud to have been selected as a supplier of electric buses until 2026 and expect two more fantastic years in which we will make a major contribution to emission-free transportation in Germany.”
