Germany: Ebusco to Supply Electric Buses to Deutsche Bahn

Ebusco has been awarded a framework agreement with German public transport operator, Deutsche Bahn to supply zero-emission buses for 2023-2024.

Under this framework agreement, Ebusco will be Deutsche Bahn’s primary supplier for battery-electric buses during this period. with the option to then extend the contract to 2025 and 2026. This agreement will therefore significantly strengthen the Dutch manufacturer’s presence in Germany.

The framework agreement includes a call-off contract for Ebusco to supply Deutsche Bahn with approximately 260 zero-emission buses. Over the total contract period, the agreement allows for a maximum order of up to 800 buses with varying configurations.

As Germany’s largest public transport operator, Deutsche Bahn will be put the zero-emission buses into service at multiple public transport authorities across the country, as part of their goal to achieve climate neutrality by 2040.
