Irizar, together with Irizar e-mobility, is presenting four vehicles at the FIAA International Bus and Coach Trade Fair, taking place at Ifema, Madrid.
The vehicles are: the new 15m fully electric Class II Irizar i3, the new Irizar ie tram Efficient, an Irizar i6S Efficient and an Irizar i8.
New 15m Irizar i3 Normal Floor
Irizar is premiering its new 15m version of its electric Class II Irizar i3. The new version aims to maximise passenger capacity and luggage space without loss of performance.
The vehicle has a range exceeding 500km. Irizar says this vehicle was designed with lightweighting in mind, resulting in a bus that is lightweight and reinforced with high-performance steel profiles.
The vehicle meets all necessary safety standards in the framework of the new GSR2 regulations by including components such as cameras and radar to ensure the safety of both the driver and passengers. Irizar also said it complied with the R155 and R156 European regulations on cyber security management systems and vehicle software updates.
The vehicle features an R29 frontal crash energy-absorption structure designed to minimise harm to the driver and passengers in the event of a collision.
The bodywork of the new electric i3 is available in an integral self-supporting configuration and with different electric chassis.
Fully Electric Irizar ie tram Efficient
The new ie tram is becoming part of the Efficient line, like the ie bus Efficient before it. This marks the next iteration of this vehicle that is already in operation in several cities.
It is a fully new and renewed vehicle based on knowledge accumulated since 2011 and supported by more than 200 million kilometres on the roads in 55 European cities. This new version is more efficient, reliable, safe and accessible than its predecessor.
As part of the Efficient platform, the ie tram has all the improvements that have gone into the ie bus Efficient in terms of cutting energy usage by up to 10 percent, cutting weight by nearly 1,000kg, featuring a more efficient climate control system, the latest-generation batteries and the use of 50 percent more recycled materials.
