IVECO Bus has unveiled its new E-WAY H2 hydrogen-powered electric city bus at Busworld Europe.

The new vehicle is equipped with a 310-kW electric motor and a fuel cell system supplied by Hyundai Motor Group’s HTOW brand.

The E-WAY H2 can be recharged using plug-in battery charging and hydrogen refuelling. It thus features storage for 7.8 kilogrammes of hydrogen as well as a 69 kWh battery pack provided by FPT Industrial.

Under normal operating conditions, it has a range of up to 450 kilometres.

The new model is also equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that conform to the EU’s new General Safety Regulations (GSR), which will come into effect from July 2024.
