Masats, with almost 60 years of experience in access solutions for public transport vehicles, will present its latest door and accessibility systems at APTA EXPO 2026, held at McCormick Place – South Hall in Chicago.

Masats will showcase its latest developments for urban buses, highlighting its ability to provide complete door and accessibility systems, combining doors with ramps or lifts to ensure the perfect coordination between both elements.

028d Sliding Door With Manual Ramp RM2

028d Sliding Door With Manual Ramp RM2

The 028d sliding door is a solution suitable for all types of urban vehicles, and has been developed especially for vehicles with limited space in the upper section of the vehicle. This makes it particularly suitable for applications including autonomous vehicles and double-decker buses.

The new sliding door combines harmonious movement, speed and excellent sealing performance, contributing to a high level of passenger comfort. At APTA EXPO, the 028d will be presented together with the RM2 manual ramp, creating an integrated solution for passenger accessibility.

029j Inswinging Door With Telescopic Ramp RT1

Masats will also present the 029j, a double-leaf electrically operated inward-opening door designed for city buses. The system has been developed to deliver optimal performance for inswinging doors installed in the central or rear section of the vehicle.

The 029j is designed to enhance safety, efficiency and passenger comfort, providing smooth and reliable operation in demanding urban transport applications.

The door can be combined with the RT1 telescopic ramp, an accessibility solution featuring a telescopic ramp that allows a longer ramp to be achieved without taking up additional interior space. The RT1 provides a greater strength and resistance while maintaining a high level of accessibility. Its combination with the 029j is designed to facilitate boarding and improve the overall passenger experience.
