The largest state-owned public transport operator in Mauritius, the National Transport Corporation, has purchased a second batch of Yutong buses.
This batch consists of 20 Yutong ZK6118HGA buses, following an earlier batch of 100 units.
The country’s prime minister, the minister of land transport and the Chinese ambassador to Mauritius all attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony as the buses were delivered.
Yutong said it believed it was chosen because its buses had an “excellent operation status, high attendance rate, low failure rate and timely maintenance”.
The island nation of Mauritius has a well-developed bus network comprising around 220 bus lines with 900 stops.
