In 2023, Sarah made a permanent move to the bus business to focus on operational leadership, and has contributed to driving performance and delivering strategic priorities.

The new appointment follow’s Antony Goozee’s decision to step down from the business at the end of June.

Sarah said:

We have a well-established bus strategy for 2026 which is already delivering positive results and remains the right approach for our business.

Our focus will continue to be on providing safe, reliable, sustainable and easy-to-use public transport services for the communities we serve across the West Midlands. I’m excited to continue working with colleagues across UK Bus in my new role and to build on the strong progress we have already made together.

Paco Iglesias, CEO of Mobico Group, said:

I would like to thank Antony for his leadership, commitment, and the impact he has made, and wish him every success for the future.

Sarah’s appointment is a natural progression. She has been instrumental in developing our UK Bus strategic direction and working closely with the UK Bus Executive Team, local blueprint teams and colleagues across the UK Bus business to bring that strategy to life.
