This investment forms part of the operator’s long-term goal to provide both high comfort and reliability for travellers across Europe whilst reducing its overall climate impact.

Jonas Pettersson, Volvo Buses, said:

e share Vy’s ambition to create more sustainable passenger transport and see this order as an important step in the continued transition.

We have a long-term partnership with Vy, and together we can continue to develop solutions that combine high operational reliability and enhanced comfort with a lower climate impact.

Built on Volvo’s B13R chassis, the coaches feature an updated body from Carrus Delta, and will be equipped with Volvo’s I-Shift gearbox, which aims to contribute to lower fuel consumption.

The order also includes a full-service agreement, a Volvo Gold Contract, which covers a wide range of services including ongoing maintenance, inspections and repairs.

Five initial buses will be delivered in May, whilst the remaining units will be delivered progressively throughout Autumn 2026.

In addition; the collaboration will also see an electric coach begin operation on the Gothenburg–Landvetter Airport route in May , marking another step in Volvo Buses’ and Vy Flygbussarna’s joint efforts to advance the next generation of sustainable travel
