Yutong has begun the delivery of its premium 18m battery electric buses to Kazakhstan.
A bus delivery ceremony was held in Astana, Kazakhstan’s capital, on 4 July to mark the start of the delivery of a total of 224 buses sold to the country.
The event was attended by the mayor of Astana, bus operator No.1 Bus Company and representatives from Yutong Bus.
At the start of the year, Yutong Bus received a new order of 150 buses.
At the ceremony, 20 18-metre battery-electric buses were lined up alongside the first 50 buses that were delivered during the event. The battery-electric buses are the largest buses ever purchased by the country. They will run on the main traffic routes in Astana, increasing public transport capacity.
These battery-electric buses use Yutong’s “premium new energy Yuwei styling”. The buses also deliver riding comfort and operational safety, thanks to a large number of specifications, including Yutong’s YEA battery technology, forward-collision warning system, full LCD lighting, double-plug fast charging, ReCtrl safety protection and more.
Each bus has a range of 400km.
To date, Yutong has exported more than 4,300 buses to Kazakhstan starting in 2005.
